The Wonder Project’s Subscription Offering on Amazon Prime Video Hits Milestone
The Wonder Project’s subscription offering on Amazon Prime Video is making waves in the streaming world. According to exclusive information obtained by Variety, the service has garnered over 500,000 subscription signups in just three weeks since its launch on Oct. 5. Family and drama have emerged as the most popular genres, with titles like “House of David” Season 2, “The Bible” mini-series, and “Jesus Revolution” leading the pack.
In addition to these popular series, movies like “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty,” “The Sound of Music,” and “Charlotte’s Web” have also been well-received by subscribers. Wonder Project prides itself on offering “Edited Versions of Movie Favorites,” giving viewers the option to watch movies in their original form or as TV-edited versions suitable for family co-viewing.
The launch of the Wonder Project subscription coincided with the Season 2 premiere of “House of David,” which continues to be a fan favorite. Excluding this show, 60% of viewing on the platform has been dedicated to TV series, while 40% has been allocated to movies. The service has seen widespread engagement across 210 designated market areas (DMAs) nationwide, with 95% of all titles in their catalogue being sampled since launch.
Kelly Merryman Hoogstraten, CEO of Wonder Project, expressed her excitement about the platform’s early success, stating, “The data confirms what we believed: millions of people have been waiting for exactly this. Faith is an audience, not a genre—and our viewing patterns prove it.” She highlighted the trend of families choosing to watch content together in the living room, emphasizing the platform’s ability to provide entertainment that aligns with their values.
“We’re witnessing a national movement of families who prioritize shared experiences over individual screens,” Hoogstraten continued. “That’s the essence of Wonder Project—to offer content that strengthens familial bonds. We’re thrilled to see such strong engagement in just our first few weeks, and we look forward to continuing to provide quality entertainment for families across the country.”
The Wonder Project’s success on Amazon Prime Video underscores the demand for family-friendly content that resonates with viewers of all ages. As the platform continues to grow, it is poised to become a go-to destination for those seeking entertainment that fosters togetherness and shared values.
