This year’s nominees showcased a mix of fresh faces and industry icons, promising an exciting evening ahead.

Kicking off the event, CFDA chairman Thom Browne graced the stage to deliver his welcome remarks before introducing the first honoree of the night, the esteemed designer Ralph Rucci, who was bestowed with the esteemed Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award. The atmosphere was electric as Taylor charmed the audience with her witty monologue, setting the tone for an unforgettable evening.

As guests savored a sumptuous chicken pot pie dinner, the spotlight shifted to the award for American Womenswear Designer of the Year, presented by the radiant actress Naomi Watts. The coveted prize was rightfully claimed by none other than the legendary Ralph Lauren, a true trailblazer in the fashion industry. Lauren’s impressive collection of CFDA Awards over the years is a testament to his enduring influence and innovation.

The night continued with a lineup of distinguished honorees, including the talented Ariana DeBose and Amber Valletta presenting the esteemed Donatella Versace with the prestigious Positive Change Award. The elegant Julianne Moore took the stage to bestow Cynthia Rowley with the revered Founder’s Award in honor of Eleanor Lambert, while the iconic Anna Wintour, Chief Content Officer and Global Editorial Director of Vogue, celebrated A$AP Rocky with the coveted Fashion Icon Award.

The excitement reached a crescendo as the gifted actor and comedian Benito Skinner joined forces with designer Jennifer Fisher to announce the winners of the American Accessory Designer of the Year award – none other than the talented duo Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen of The Row. Their exceptional talent and visionary designs have solidified their place as industry frontrunners, earning them this prestigious accolade once again.
