A tragic incident unfolded in a Bronx NYCHA apartment on Wednesday morning, as a 44-year-old man fatally shot his elderly mother, daughter, and the younger woman’s boyfriend before turning the gun on himself in a disturbing burst of domestic violence, according to law enforcement sources.
The horrific scene of family carnage was discovered inside the home on Lacombe Avenue near Turneur Avenue, part of the Castle Hill Houses, at about 9:45 a.m., with all victims and the shooter pronounced dead at the scene, as confirmed by authorities.
The alleged shooter’s 75-year-old mother was found in the back of the apartment near the bedroom, his 26-year-old daughter was also discovered near the back of the residence, and her boyfriend was found towards the front of the unit near the door, according to sources.
Video footage reviewed by investigators revealed the suspect stepping outside around 8:10 a.m. and leaving a voicemail for his 20-year-old son who resides in North Carolina, sources added.

The bodies were discovered after the mother of the gunman’s child called the police requesting a wellness check, sources revealed. None of the victims have been officially identified by the police, and the city medical examiner will determine their causes of death.
