Production Begins on Season 2 of “Dune: Prophecy”
HBO’s hit series, “Dune: Prophecy,” has officially started production on its highly anticipated second season. Showrunner Alison Schapker is back at the helm, and filming will take place in Hungary, Jordan, and Spain.
Joining the stellar cast for Season 2 are Indira Varma (“Coldwater”), Ashley Walters (“Top Boy”), and Tom Hollander (“The White Lotus”). They will be joining returning cast members such as Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Travis Fimmel, and many more.
Set 10,000 years before the events of Paul Atreides, Season 1 of “Dune: Prophecy” followed the story of two Harkonnen sisters as they navigated the challenges threatening humanity’s future and established the Bene Gesserit order.
Alison Schapker leads the production as the show’s executive producer and showrunner, with a talented team of executive producers including Jordan Goldberg, Mark Tobey, and Monica Owusu-Breen. The series is a collaboration between HBO and Legendary Television, drawing inspiration from the novel “Sisterhood of Dune” by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson.
