Woman Fatally Struck by Train in Apparent Suicide at Port Authority Subway Station
A tragic incident occurred during rush hour at the Port Authority subway station on Monday, as a woman in her 60s was fatally struck by a southbound A train in an apparent suicide, according to authorities and sources.
The incident took place just before 7 a.m. when the train pulled into the 42nd Street-Port Authority Bus Terminal hub. The woman was found unconscious and unresponsive on the tracks and was pronounced dead at the scene by police.

Authorities believe that the woman’s death was a suicide and no criminality is suspected in the incident. Her identity has not been released by the police at this time.
