Erin Doherty, the talented British actress who recently took home an Emmy for her outstanding performance in the critically acclaimed series “Adolescence,” has officially joined the renowned talent agency CAA.
Doherty first rose to prominence for her portrayal of Princess Anne in the third and fourth seasons of the hit Netflix show “The Crown,” which earned the cast two SAG awards for their exceptional ensemble work. She then made her mark on the big screen with roles in Karim Aïnouz’s “Firebrand,” alongside Jude Law and Alicia Vikander, as well as in “Reawakening” with Jared Harris and Juliet Stevenson.
However, it was her role in “Adolescence” that truly catapulted Doherty into the spotlight. The one-shot drama broke audience records on Netflix and sparked conversations around the world. Doherty’s portrayal of forensic psychologist Briony Ariston, particularly in the third episode where she confronts a teen murderer played by Owen Cooper, delves into themes of masculinity and dangerous misogyny, earning her the Emmy for outstanding supporting actress in a limited series.
Currently, Doherty is busy filming Hugo Blick’s upcoming BBC series “California Avenue,” where she stars alongside acting legends Bill Nighy and Helena Bonham Carter. Fans can also look forward to seeing her reprise her role in the second season of Steven Knight’s “A Thousand Blows,” opposite Stephen Graham, set to premiere on Hulu/Disney+ in January 2026.
On the stage, Doherty has showcased her versatility in productions like “Unicorn,” “Death of England: Closing Time,” and “The Crucible” at the National Theatre, sharing the spotlight with esteemed actors Nicola Walker and Stephen Mangan.
Despite her growing success, Doherty remains loyal to her existing representation, including Kat Oliver at Conway van Gelder Grant in the U.K., Untitled Entertainment, Shelby Weiser at Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern, and Public Eye Communications.
With her talent, versatility, and commitment to her craft, Erin Doherty continues to captivate audiences and establish herself as a force to be reckoned with in the entertainment industry.
