Black Friday is just around the corner, and the deals are already starting to roll in. Samsung’s latest budget Android phone, the Galaxy A17 5G, is proving to be a steal of a deal. Launched a few weeks ago alongside its 4G sibling, these phones may not have had a flashy Unpacked event, but they are quickly becoming some of Samsung’s best-selling devices.

The Galaxy A17 5G is typically priced at £199 for the only model available in the UK. However, you can already save £30 (or 15%) on this device in all three available colors, with blue being the top choice. This discount is available at various retailers, including the official Samsung store, Amazon, Currys, Argos, Very, John Lewis, Laptops Direct, and AO. The Galaxy A17 4G is also receiving a £30 discount, bringing its price down to just £139. This device offers similar design and specs to its 5G counterpart, making it an even greater bargain.

Despite its recent release in August, the Galaxy A17 5G has already made a mark in the budget phone market. While it may not boast groundbreaking innovations, it still ranks as the second-best budget phone in our charts. The device maintains the same RRP as its predecessor, with only minor design changes and the addition of stabilization to the main camera.

The Galaxy A17 5G features a stylish design, a large 6.7-inch screen with vibrant colors, and improved camera performance with stabilization. The device offers decent battery life, lasting up to two days on a single charge. While the secondary cameras and performance may not be top-notch, they are suitable for everyday use. Samsung’s One UI interface is user-friendly, and the device comes with an impressive six years of software support, including security updates and new Android versions.

For a budget-friendly option with long-term support, the Galaxy A17 5G is a solid choice, especially with the current discounts. If you’re looking for a budget phone with even more to offer, the CMF Phone 2 Pro, our top pick for budget phones, is also on sale. Keep an eye out for more Black Friday deals on phones and accessories as we continue to round up the best offers available.
