The latest addition to the OnePlus lineup, the OnePlus 15, has truly left a lasting impression on tech enthusiasts and smartphone users alike. While I haven’t had the chance to put the phone through its paces like some of my colleagues, such as Alex Walker-Todd, who gave it a glowing 4.5-star review, my initial experience with the device has been nothing short of impressive.

Priced at £849/€899.99, the OnePlus 15 may not fall into the budget-friendly category, but it certainly offers unparalleled value compared to other flagship smartphones on the market. One standout feature of the OnePlus 15 is its massive 7300 mAh battery, which dwarfs the 5000 mAh capacities found in most high-end smartphones, including the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

In addition to its impressive battery life, the OnePlus 15 boasts a stunning 165 Hz refresh rate, a versatile three-lens rear camera setup, and lightning-fast wired and wireless charging capabilities. This serves as a stark reminder to industry giants like Apple and Samsung that innovation and value should always be at the forefront of their product offerings.

The OnePlus 15 sets a new standard for battery life, with its 7300mAh capacity setting it apart from the competition. In comparison, iPhones and Samsung Galaxy phones typically fall short in this department, with even the top-tier models featuring smaller battery capacities.

The use of silicon-carbon (Si/C) battery technology has allowed OnePlus to consistently increase the battery capacity in their devices. Previous models like the OnePlus 13 and Oppo Find X9 Pro have also benefited from this innovation, showcasing the brand’s commitment to providing users with long-lasting battery life.

During my testing of the OnePlus 15, I was pleasantly surprised by its endurance, even under heavy usage. The phone managed to last through a variety of tasks, from streaming videos to gaming, all while maintaining a reserve of power for those crucial moments.

In terms of charging speed, the OnePlus 15 excels with its 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging capabilities. In just 30 minutes, the phone can reach nearly 60% battery capacity, making it one of the fastest-charging smartphones on the market.

Overall, the OnePlus 15’s impressive specs, including the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, ample RAM and storage options, and outstanding benchmarks, solidify its position as a top-tier flagship device.

As smartphones from Chinese manufacturers continue to push boundaries and set new standards, traditional industry giants like Samsung, Apple, and Google must rise to the challenge. The OnePlus 15 serves as a prime example of what can be achieved through innovation and forward-thinking design, urging other players in the market to keep up or risk being left behind.
