Shedeur Sanders, son of legendary NFL player Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders, made his much-anticipated NFL debut in Week 11 for the Cleveland Browns against the Baltimore Ravens. Unfortunately, it was not the debut he had hoped for, as he struggled with a stat line of only 47 passing yards, zero touchdowns, and one interception.

Renowned sports commentator Stephen A. Smith shared his thoughts on Shedeur Sanders’ performance in a recent YouTube video. Smith expressed some doubts about Sanders’ future in the NFL, questioning his preparedness and the lack of support he received from the coaching staff. He pointed out that Sanders was not given any snaps with the first team and seemed unprepared for the game.

Sanders entered the game in the third quarter after starting quarterback Dillon Gabriel suffered a head injury. Despite attempting several deep passes, Sanders failed to make a significant impact in his first game. However, he is expected to get more opportunities to prove himself on the field as the season progresses.

In a surprising turn of events, Sanders is set to make his first start in the NFL in Week 12 against the Las Vegas Raiders. With Gabriel still in concussion protocol, Sanders has been named the starting quarterback for the upcoming game. Cleveland Browns insider Mary Kay Cabot confirmed that Sanders will lead the team against the Raiders at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada.

Coach Kevin Stefanski has assured that Sanders will receive training reps with the first team leading up to his first start, unlike his debut game. This preparation will be crucial for Sanders as he looks to showcase his skills and potential in a starting role. Fans can catch Sanders’ first start on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at 2:05 PM E.T on CBS or via livestream on FuboTV and DAZN.

As Sanders gears up for his starting debut, all eyes will be on him to see how he performs under pressure. With the support of his team and coaching staff, Sanders will have the opportunity to prove his critics wrong and establish himself as a capable NFL quarterback. Stay tuned for what promises to be an exciting game as Shedeur Sanders takes the field for the Cleveland Browns.
