A horrifying incident took place in Brooklyn over the weekend, as a 25-year-old woman was attacked by a stranger who attempted to rape her. The disturbing encounter occurred at Watkins Street and Livonia Avenue in Brownsville around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday. The assailant punched the victim in the face before trying to remove her clothes, leaving her in a state of shock and fear.
The victim was fortunate to escape further harm and was taken to the hospital in stable condition. However, the perpetrator managed to flee the scene before he could be apprehended. The Brooklyn Special Victims Squad is currently investigating the crime in efforts to bring the attacker to justice.
Surveillance footage provided by the NYPD shows the suspect walking past a construction site wearing a distinctive green jacket with white sleeves over a black sweatshirt, with the hood pulled up. Despite the release of these images, the predator remains at large, posing a continued threat to the community.
