Boston Blue’s Mika Amonsen Talks About Taking on the Role of Sean in Blue Bloods Spinoff

Boston Blue‘s Mika Amonsen recently opened up about the pressure and excitement of stepping into the role of Sean, originally played by Andrew Terraciano on Blue Bloods, opposite Donnie Wahlberg. Amonsen shared his thoughts in an exclusive interview with Us Weekly.

Reflecting on the transition, Amonsen expressed his initial nerves but also his determination to honor Terraciano’s portrayal of Sean. He mentioned, “I really want to maintain Sean as close as I can in the ways that I do it out of respect for this character that everyone loves — but also the character Andrew built.”

As fans of Blue Bloods know, Sean is Danny Reagan’s son on the show, and Amonsen was tasked with continuing the character’s journey in the spinoff series. He shared, “I did binge watch as much as I could and I found doing the later seasons was more helpful. I wanted to get a sense of who Sean was toward the end of the show.”

Despite the pressure, Amonsen aimed to celebrate Terraciano’s performance while also infusing his own energy into the character. He noted, “I wanted to respect Andrew’s portrayal of Sean as much as I could — but also adding something to my own version.”

When it came to filming the first season of Boston Blue, Amonsen appreciated the opportunity to explore new dynamics between Sean and Danny. He said, “He’s coming into this whole new position because from what I understand, the exploration of Sean being a cop wasn’t something that was on the table. Now he’s a cop in his dad’s field and they’re bumping into these issues both as father and son but also as coworkers.”

Addressing the challenges of stepping into an established character, Amonsen admitted there has been some negativity from fans. However, he also mentioned the support and encouragement he has received from viewers who enjoy his take on Sean. He shared, “They’re really enjoying the show and they love where it’s going in terms of Sean and that makes me happy.”

Boston Blue airs on CBS Fridays at 10 p.m. ET, offering fans a new perspective on the Reagan family and the world of law enforcement.

The world of technology is constantly evolving, with new innovations and advancements being made every day. One of the most exciting recent developments in the tech industry is the rise of artificial intelligence (AI). AI is a branch of computer science that aims to create machines that can perform tasks that typically require human intelligence, such as visual perception, speech recognition, decision-making, and language translation.

AI has the potential to revolutionize a wide range of industries, from healthcare and finance to manufacturing and transportation. In healthcare, AI-powered tools can help doctors diagnose diseases more accurately and quickly, while in finance, AI algorithms can analyze vast amounts of data to detect fraudulent activities and make better investment decisions. In manufacturing, AI-powered robots can automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency, while in transportation, AI can help optimize traffic flow and reduce accidents.

One of the key benefits of AI is its ability to learn and improve over time. This is known as machine learning, a subset of AI that involves training algorithms to recognize patterns in data and make predictions based on that data. Machine learning algorithms can analyze large datasets much faster and more accurately than humans, making them invaluable tools for businesses looking to gain insights from their data.

However, the rise of AI also raises important ethical and societal concerns. One of the biggest challenges is the potential for biased algorithms, which can perpetuate existing inequalities and discrimination. For example, if an AI algorithm is trained on biased data, it may learn to make biased decisions, such as denying loans to certain groups of people or excluding them from job opportunities.

Another concern is the impact of AI on jobs. While AI has the potential to automate many tasks and improve efficiency, it could also lead to job displacement for workers in industries that rely heavily on manual labor. As AI continues to advance, it will be important for policymakers and businesses to consider the implications for the workforce and to implement strategies to retrain workers for new roles.

Despite these challenges, the potential benefits of AI are vast. From improving healthcare outcomes to increasing productivity and efficiency in businesses, AI has the power to transform our world in ways we never thought possible. As we continue to explore the possibilities of AI, it will be important to ensure that it is developed and deployed responsibly, with a focus on ethical considerations and the well-being of society as a whole.
