The 74th Annual Miss Universe pageant was a spectacle like no other, with contestants from around the world showcasing their most elaborate and extravagant costumes. While Miss Mexico took home the crown, it was the costume competition that stole the show.

One standout moment was Miss Estonia’s giant wolf head headdress, inspired by the play Libahunt. But she was not alone in her bold fashion choices. The competition was a feast for the eyes, with contestants donning sequins, glitter, feathers, and a whole lot more.

From bedazzled musical instruments to sea creatures, the contestants went all out to represent their countries in the most extravagant way possible. Miss Bonaire transformed into a Vegas dancer mermaid, while Miss Venezuela was flanked by faux tortoises. Miss Norway even disguised herself as a shimmering salmon.

But it wasn’t just about the glitz and glamour. Some of the best outfits walked the fine line between glamour and prop comedy. Miss Chile channeled Frozen, Miss Curaçao paid homage to “It’s a Small World,” and Miss Sri Lanka stood inside a giant brass teapot.

And let’s not forget Miss USA, who appeared as a giant bird inspired by the bald eagle. The costumes were over-the-top, to say the least, but they definitely made a statement.

One of the most significant moments of the event was Miss Palestine’s debut in the competition. Nadeen Ayoub wore a beaded headdress and gown inspired by Palestinian culture, complete with a cape painted with iconic images of Jerusalem.

As the fashion world debates the relationship between clothing and the body, the Miss Universe competition celebrated outfits that defied all norms. It was a true celebration of creativity, culture, and individuality on a global stage.
