ICE Detains Family Member of White House Spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt
Recently, Tricia McLaughlin, a Homeland Security spokesperson, shed light on the fact that DACA recipients can lose their protection “for a number of reasons, including if they’ve committed a crime.” This statement comes in the wake of an incident involving Karoline Leavitt, a White House spokeswoman, whose family member was detained by ICE.
Although Karoline herself did not provide a comment on the situation, an administration official revealed to a media outlet that “Karoline had no involvement whatsoever in this matter.” This revelation has sparked curiosity and concern among the public regarding the circumstances surrounding the detention.
Aside from this family matter, Karoline recently shared her struggles with PTSD stemming from the unpredictability of her job and its impact on her marriage. She admitted to having difficulty making plans, leading to the cancellation of many date nights with her husband.
“Honestly, I have PTSD about making plans, so I just don’t,” she confessed. “We just roll with it. If there’s a night where I happen to become free, then we take full advantage of that as a family.”
Reflecting on the challenges of her job, Karoline expressed, “Definitely, it’s very difficult to make plans in this job. My husband and I had three different mini weekend getaway vacations this summer. All three got canceled due to foreign policy events.”
As the situation unfolds, Karoline Leavitt continues to navigate the complexities of her professional and personal life, showcasing resilience and adaptability in the face of adversity.
