6-Year-Old Boy Assaulted in Bryant Park Winter Market
A 6-year-old boy was slapped in the face in an unprovoked assault as he walked through Bryant Park’s busy winter market in Midtown on Sunday, according to authorities and sources.
The incident occurred around 4:51 p.m. inside the park, which was filled with cheerful shoppers at the annual holiday market in the Bank of America Winter Village, as reported by the NYPD.
According to sources, the boy was slapped in what seemed to be an unprovoked attack.
The boy’s father, who was present at the park, witnessed the assault and promptly reported it to the police, sources revealed.
The child was taken to a police precinct for treatment and fortunately did not sustain any major physical injuries, as per the cops.

A person of interest has been taken into custody by the police, although no charges have been filed as of Sunday evening, sources stated.
The investigation into the assault is still ongoing.
