“As we approach an election year and anticipate significant resource management reform, there are various issues that demand our attention on behalf of our members,” he remarked.
Emphasizing the importance of constructive political engagement, Mr. Mockford highlighted the need to secure long-term support for water storage and irrigation, irrespective of election outcomes.
Mr. Mockford brings a wealth of experience to his new position, having served as the current chief executive of MHV Water and previously held roles at Trustpower overseeing hydro schemes in Otago and Canterbury.
