Donald Trump’s right hand has been a topic of concern for many, with the president recently seen sporting two mysterious band-aids during a cabinet meeting. This comes after previous sightings of bruises on his hand, which he has attempted to cover up with flesh-colored makeup in the past. During the meeting, Trump kept his hands under the desk for the most part, only revealing the band-aids briefly.
As Trump addressed reporters about his health, he expressed frustration with the focus on the topic. He assured everyone that he would let them know if there was a health issue, stating that he feels sharper than he did 25 years ago. However, photos captured him scratching his face, showing off the bandages on his hand. Throughout the meeting, Trump appeared tired, leaning back in his chair and closing his eyes at times.
Trump also took a moment to defend his cognitive health, referencing an article in The New York Times that questioned his sharpness. He dismissed the claims in the article, calling the publication “fakers” and criticizing their financial situation. The White House has not yet commented on the presence of the band-aids on Trump’s hand.
This is not the first time Trump’s hand has raised eyebrows. Last month, he was photographed at an NFL game with what appeared to be a thick layer of foundation on his right hand. When questioned about this, spokesperson Karoline Leavitt attributed it to minor soft tissue irritation from frequent handshaking and aspirin use as part of a cardiovascular prevention regimen.
Despite attempts to downplay concerns about Trump’s hand, insiders have expressed worry about the bruising, especially in relation to his age and rumored cognitive issues. The recent MRI that Trump underwent, described as “preventive” by the White House, has also sparked scrutiny over his health. Leavitt maintains that Trump’s health is excellent, but with ongoing speculation and observations, the mystery surrounding the band-aids on his hand continues to fuel speculation.
