Bluejay Capital Partners, a leading investment firm, has successfully completed a recapitalization of Quality Life Science Logistics & Transportation (QLS), a prominent provider of specialized cold chain logistics services for the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries. This strategic partnership aims to enhance QLS’s market presence and reinforce its position as a top player in the industry.

Based in Coopersville, Michigan, QLS is renowned for its state-of-the-art dual temperature trailers that can transport refrigerated, frozen, and ambient high-value cargo with precision and reliability. The company has built a solid reputation for securely transporting sensitive pharmaceutical products while maintaining the integrity of the supply chain. QLS stands out as the only U.S. pharmaceutical carrier with a TAPA Level 1 Certification, demonstrating its unwavering commitment to security and operational excellence.

Billy Hart, the founding Managing Partner of Bluejay Capital, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “QLS has a strong track record of delivering top-notch cold chain transportation services through advanced technology and a dedicated team of experts who prioritize customer satisfaction. The collaboration between QLS and Bluejay Capital, with our combined industry experience and growth strategies, is a powerful one. We are excited to join forces with QLS.”

Terry Fewless, the founder of QLS, emphasized that the recapitalization marks a new chapter of growth for the company while upholding its core values and culture. “We are proud of our achievements thus far and look forward to expanding our market reach and solidifying our industry-leading position,” Fewless commented. He will retain a significant ownership stake in QLS to ensure continuity and alignment with the new partnership.

The recapitalization was made possible with the support of Revelation Partners, a healthcare-focused secondaries investment manager, and Oxford Finance LLC, a specialty finance firm with extensive experience in healthcare and business services. Legal counsel for Bluejay Capital was provided by McGuireWoods LLP.

Established in 2021, Bluejay Capital specializes in partnering with transportation and logistics companies to drive growth through strategic investments and operational expertise. The firm has completed twelve acquisitions, including six platform investments and six add-on acquisitions, totaling over $700 million in acquired enterprise value.

In conclusion, the partnership between Bluejay Capital Partners and QLS signifies a significant milestone for both companies, paving the way for enhanced market presence and continued growth in the pharmaceutical and life sciences logistics sector.
