SPOILER ALERT: Major Plot Twist in Season 5 of “Stranger Things”
The latest season of “Stranger Things” has left fans in awe with a jaw-dropping twist involving Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) becoming a sorcerer. The Duffer brothers, creators of the show, revealed this shocking development in Season 5 Volume 1, leaving the cast and viewers stunned.
A video released on the show’s YouTube channel captured the cast’s reactions during a table read. Noah Schnapp, Millie Bobby Brown, Sadie Sink, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, and Caleb McLaughlin were seen freaking out, cheering, and clapping as Matt Duffer unveiled the ending of Volume 1 of Season 5.
The climactic battle in Volume 1 sees Will Byers stepping up to take down an army of Demogorgons in the Upside Down, ultimately saving his friends and unlocking a new power to defeat Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower).
During the intense moment, Will exhibits his newfound sorcery by levitating the monsters and ultimately destroying them with a powerful force. As he gains control over his abilities, the season ends with a trail of blood slipping from his nose, indicating his transformation into a sorcerer.
The Duffer brothers explained in an interview with Variety that Will’s powers are distinct from Eleven’s. While he channels Vecna’s powers, there are similarities between their abilities. Will taps into the hive mind to manipulate the monsters, showcasing the extent of his newfound powers.
