Hallmark Channel and Walt Disney World are joining forces for the first time ever to create a new original movie titled “Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True.” This exciting collaboration will see the film shot on location at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and will feature an all-star cast including Lacey Chabert, Travis Van Winkle, Richard Kind, Christy Carlson Romano, Taegen Burns, and Asher Alexander, with a cameo appearance by Patrick Renna.
The announcement of this magical movie was made during “The Hallmark Christmas Experience: A Hometown Holiday” event, following the premiere of Lacey Chabert’s latest film, “She’s Making A List.” Written and directed by Ryan Landels, “Holiday Ever After” is set to air during the 17th annual Countdown to Christmas in 2026.
The official logline for the movie reads: “Lindsey (Chabert) and her extended family embark on a Christmas trip to Walt Disney World. However, Lindsey’s holiday spirit takes a hit when she discovers that her room is next to Philip (Van Winkle), a man she recently had a disastrous first date with, who is also at the resort with his family. As Lindsey and Philip cross paths during their stay, they slowly realize that they may not be so different after all. With the help of some Disney magic, Lindsey’s holiday wish made at Cinderella Fountain could turn their rivalry into romance.”
The collaboration between Hallmark and Disney holds a special significance, harking back to their shared history dating back to the friendship between Hallmark’s founder, J.C. Hall, and Walt Disney himself. This partnership has led to the creation of a wide range of licensed products and now extends to the creation of heartwarming holiday movies that embody the essence of both brands.
Sally Conner, Disney’s vp of global content, expressed excitement about the project, highlighting how storytelling is at the core of both Disney and Hallmark. She emphasized the joy and magic that come alive during the holiday season, making Walt Disney World the perfect setting for a Hallmark Christmas movie that captures the festive spirit of the season.
In addition to the film, Hallmark and Disney will be launching an exclusive collection of products inspired by “Holiday Ever After,” including greeting cards, ornaments, gifts, and gift wrap. These products will be available next holiday season, allowing fans to bring a piece of the magic into their own homes.
The collaboration between Hallmark Channel and Walt Disney World promises to deliver a heartwarming and enchanting holiday movie that will captivate audiences and bring the joy of the season to life on screen. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting project.
