Three Arrested for Supplying Drugs to Providence College Students Who Overdosed

Three individuals have been arrested for allegedly providing drugs to seven Providence College students who overdosed during a party outside of campus, as reported by the police.

The incident took place on Liege Street in Providence, Rhode Island, where officers found four students unconscious in the front yard of a residence. A total of seven party attendees overdosed, received Narcan treatment, and were taken to the hospital, where they were deemed conscious and responsive.

Following the party, a search was conducted at a residence on Hawkins Street, resulting in the seizure of approximately 20 grams of fentanyl, $1,700 in cash, two rifles, and three handguns, one of which was deemed a “ghost gun.”

Angel Williams, 33, Patrick Patterson, 32, and Kimsheree Simoneau, 33, were taken into custody. While Williams and Patterson are facing charges related to drugs and firearms, Simoneau was charged with possession of a ghost gun.

Williams and Patterson are currently held without bail, while Simoneau was released on a $10,000 bond.

The suspects are not affiliated with the college, and the Providence Police have emphasized their commitment to combatting the influx of fentanyl and illegal firearms in the community.

Providence Police Col. Oscar Perez stated, “The coordinated efforts of our Narcotics and Organized Crime Bureau ensured that dangerous weapons and narcotics were removed from the streets of Providence.”

The college has also announced that they will be conducting their own investigation into the incident. A college spokesperson expressed gratitude to the first responders and public safety officials for their swift response and life-saving actions.
