A brazen bank robber has struck two Flagstar bank locations on Long Island within a span of 48 hours, leaving authorities puzzled and on the hunt for the suspect. The robber, described as a bald man with a beard and dark-colored jacket, used a stickup note to intimidate tellers into handing over cash in both instances.

The first robbery occurred at a Flagstar branch in West Babylon on Monday, where the thief successfully made off with an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing in a waiting car. Just two days later, the same individual entered another Flagstar branch in North Babylon and repeated the same tactic, walking away with stolen cash before escaping on foot.

Law enforcement officials are working to determine if the robberies are connected and believe that the same person is responsible for both incidents. The investigation is ongoing as detectives gather more information and evidence to identify and apprehend the suspect.

Although details about the thief and the stolen amounts have not been disclosed, authorities are actively pursuing leads to bring the perpetrator to justice. Flagstar Bank has not provided any comments or statements regarding the incidents.

As the search for the bank robber continues, residents in the Long Island area are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to local authorities. The brazen nature of the robberies has raised concerns among bank employees and customers, emphasizing the importance of security measures and awareness in financial institutions.
