The Texas Christian University (TCU) School of Art in Fort Worth, Texas, is currently accepting applications for its MA and MFA programs for enrollment in fall 2026. These programs aim to prepare students for impactful careers in contemporary art, museums, and the broader arts field. Students in both programs receive full tuition funding, competitive stipends, and 85% health insurance coverage, regardless of their background or citizenship status. Additionally, generous financial support is provided for research and travel opportunities to enhance the graduate experience.

The MA in Art History program at TCU emphasizes close scholarly mentorship, object-based learning, and museum training. Students have access to Sunkel Endowment grants that fund research travel to locations such as Berlin, Budapest, Florence, Los Angeles, and more. The program also offers internships at Fort Worth’s prestigious art museums, including the Amon Carter Museum of American Art, Kimbell Art Museum, and Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. Graduates of the MA program have gone on to pursue PhD programs and secure positions at esteemed institutions across the country.

On the other hand, the MFA in Studio Art program at TCU focuses on intensive studio practice, critical dialogue, and interdisciplinary thinking. Students have the option to specialize in painting, printmaking, photography, new media, or sculpture, with access to private studios and extensive facilities. The curriculum includes seminars in art criticism, contemporary art history, and professional development, as well as teaching opportunities and a faculty-led residency in Italy.

The TCU School of Art frequently hosts guest artists, critics, curators, and scholars, providing students with exposure to a diverse range of perspectives and practices in the art world. The university, located in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, offers a vibrant arts community and easy access to DFW International Airport for national and international travel.
