“It: Welcome to Derry” Episode 7 garnered 5.8 million viewers across HBO and HBO Max within the first three days of its release. This data includes both linear viewership on HBO’s cable channel measured by Nielsen and streaming numbers on HBO Max tracked by Warner Bros. Discovery. The episode not only set a new viewership record for the series but also helped elevate the show’s overall average to 10.7 million viewers per episode. In total, the series has now reached 18.3 million viewers. Warner Bros. Discovery notes that “It: Welcome to Derry” ranks as one of the top three series debuts on HBO Max, following closely behind “The Last of Us” and “House of the Dragon.” The company also highlights a significant increase in online conversations about the show, with Episode 7 surpassing the series premiere by 300%.
Meanwhile, Episode 6 of “I Love L.A.” attracted 1 million viewers in its first three days. Since its premiere on Nov. 2, the series has been averaging 1.8 million viewers per episode. Warner Bros. Discovery praises “I Love L.A.” as one of the fastest-growing comedy series on HBO Max.
“It: Welcome to Derry” was developed for television by Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti, and Jason Fuchs. The series boasts an impressive lineup of executive producers, including the Muschiettis, Fuchs, Bill SkarsgĂĄrd, and others. Fuchs, who also wrote the first episode, co-showruns the series with Brad Caleb Kane, while Muschietti takes on directing duties for multiple episodes.
On the other hand, “I Love L.A.” is created by and stars Rachel Sennott. She is joined by executive producers Emma Barrie, Aida Rodgers, Max Silvestri, and Lorene Scafaria in bringing the series to life.
