Accused terrorist Naveed Akram has been charged with a multitude of offenses in relation to the tragic Bondi Beach attack, including murder.

At just 24 years old, Akram was scheduled to appear in a bedside court hearing from his hospital bed on Wednesday afternoon.

Among the charges he faces are 15 counts of murder, one for each victim, and a charge of committing a terrorist act.

In addition, Akram is also accused of 40 counts of wounding with intent to murder, as well as charges related to discharging a firearm in public, displaying a prohibited terrorist symbol, and placing an explosive near a building with intent to cause harm.

Akram was shot by police during the incident and was in a coma for several days before being formally charged.

Tragically, his father, Sajid Akram, also lost his life during the same event.

The victims of the attack were gathered at Bondi Beach to celebrate the Jewish festival of lights on that fateful Sunday night.

The victims’ ages ranged from 10 to 87, highlighting the indiscriminate nature of the attack.

Currently, twenty individuals remain hospitalized due to injuries sustained during the tragic incident.
