The tragic case of the Rob & Michele Reiner murders continues to unfold, with new video footage shedding light on the events leading up to their untimely deaths. The latest development shows Nick Reiner, the son of the victims, walking towards a hotel in Santa Monica just hours before the discovery of his parents’ bodies in their Brentwood home.
The surveillance video, obtained by TMZ from a local business on Santa Monica Pier, captures Nick walking down the sidewalk towards the Pierside Santa Monica hotel. In the footage, Nick is seen carrying a black backpack and wearing a hat, reminiscent of his appearance in previous videos obtained by the authorities.
The timing of the video remains a crucial piece of evidence, as it is unclear whether it was recorded before or after the alleged murders took place. However, it is confirmed that Nick checked into the hotel approximately 6 minutes after the footage was captured. Sources with direct knowledge revealed that no blood was visible on Nick when he arrived at the hotel at 4:15 AM.
Further investigation into the case revealed disturbing details from Nick’s hotel room, where blood was found in the shower and on the bed. The window was also covered with bed sheets, raising suspicions about the events that transpired in the room.
Nick was subsequently arrested near the USC campus in downtown Los Angeles and has been charged with the murder of his parents, Rob and Michele Reiner. In footage from his arrest, Nick can be seen with a red backpack, suggesting that he may have switched bags at some point after his visit to the hotel.
As the investigation unfolds, authorities have searched Nick’s hotel room for additional evidence. He is currently held without bail as he awaits an arraignment, which has been postponed to the following month. The case continues to captivate the public as more details emerge surrounding the tragic fate of the Reiner family.
