Lincolnshire-based artist Anthony Theakston is known for his stunning sculptures of common birds like barn owls and herons. Using bronze and ceramic, Theakston creates lifelike representations of these avian creatures, capturing their elegance and beauty in his work. His sculptures feature smooth wings and bodies, contrasting with the fluffy feathers typically associated with birds. The sculptures are often depicted in a hunched-over or curled-up position, giving them a sense of realism and movement.

Theakston has several exhibitions and fairs lined up for 2026, including appearances at the Naarden Art Fair and Brussels Affordable Art Fair with DeKunst Salon, as well as the Washington Winter Show and Art Palm Beach with Gladwell and Patterson. He is also represented by Gallery Bartoux and shares more of his work on Instagram.

Each sculpture by Theakston is a testament to his skill and craftsmanship, capturing the beauty of these birds in a way that is both realistic and artistic. From barn owls to herons, his work celebrates the natural world and the creatures that inhabit it.

If you’re a fan of art that celebrates nature and wildlife, Theakston’s sculptures are a must-see. Visit his exhibitions and fairs in 2026 to experience his work in person and appreciate the beauty of his creations up close.
