All other public schools in Jeffco were to proceed as usual, Jefferson County schools said in a posting on the district website. Charter school families were directed to check with their schools to verify weather-related delays and closures. In the Conifer area, district officials noted that “schools that currently have power continue to be affected by a power outage at the water treatment facility that impacts the water supply.”

In Boulder County, the Boulder Valley School District officials issued a notice canceling all schools on Friday “due to forecasted unsafe weather conditions and extended power outages.” All before and after-school child care and enrichment opportunities also would be canceled, officials said, and “there will be no remote learning.”
