City officials did not immediately address the issue, with NYPD Chief of Patrol John Chell downplaying the concerns by stating that life in the city isn’t easy and that they were well-prepared for the event.
Despite the challenges, supporters like Kimberly Vayda and her daughter remained determined to tough it out until the doors opened for the rally. As the day progressed, anticipation grew for Trump’s appearance, with a lineup of notable guests expected to speak alongside him.
