Nestled just down the road from the hotel lies the historic Kulm Country Club, steeped in tradition and luxury. Originally established in 1905 as a gathering spot around the property’s natural ice rink, the club has since evolved into the official event base for the Winter Olympic Games. Following a CHF12 million renovation overseen by renowned architect Lord Norman Foster, the Kulm Country Club reopened its doors in 2017, blending elements of its original Art Nouveau charm with traditional Swiss design.

The two-story space features a wood-paneled restaurant with a spacious sun terrace offering stunning views of the ice rink. On the ground floor, guests can unwind in the lounge and bar area adorned with a collection of photographs, bobsleighs, and other memorabilia showcasing the region’s rich history. Visitors staying at the Kulm Hotel are treated to a complimentary ski and mountain pass, granting access to 350 kilometers of slopes across Corviglia, Corvatsch, and Diavolezza-Lagalb, along with unique experiences like night skiing and the enchanting ‘GlĂĽna Plaina’ full moon event.

Over at Hotel Grace La Margna, a sleek and modern retreat awaits guests above the St. Moritz train station. With 74 stylish rooms, the hotel offers a contemporary alternative to the traditional grand accommodations found in the area. While the design features clean lines and muted hues, the hotel has preserved its Art Nouveau heritage through decorative moldings, marble fireplaces, and bay windows in the La Margna Wing. Local wood accents, warm tones, and cozy plaids create a chalet-style ambiance throughout the dining and living spaces, including the N/5 bar where mixologist Mirco Giumelli crafts inventive cocktails. The hotel’s spa offers a holistic experience, complete with wellness showers and a unique sunlit meadow lounger for ultimate relaxation.

Welcoming guests with a touch of magic, the hotel exudes a fairytale charm, from fondue served in gondolas to a sleigh at the entrance. Inside, the warm hospitality and elegant atmosphere create a grand yet intimate setting, especially at the Carlton Bar and Bel Etage. Dining options include the two-Michelin-starred Da Vittorio and a rejuvenating spa for a truly indulgent stay.

For a fuss-free luxury experience, the Grand Hotel Des Bains Kempinski is the oldest and largest five-star hotel in St. Moritz. Situated at the foot of the Signalbahn cable car, the hotel offers direct access to the slopes, perfect for avid skiers. After a day on the mountain, guests can unwind at the hotel spa, featuring Lifecube Cryotherapy for post-ski recovery. Various dining options are available on-site, from the Michelin-starred Ca d’Oro to a casual Italian enoteca and a lively lobby bar with live music.

Lastly, Chesa Marchetta offers a charming dining experience in a cozy and inviting setting. With a focus on local cuisine and warm hospitality, this restaurant captures the essence of St. Moritz’s culinary scene. The intimate atmosphere, coupled with delicious dishes, makes Chesa Marchetta a must-visit spot for food enthusiasts in the area.

Each of these exquisite establishments in St. Moritz promises a unique and unforgettable experience, combining luxury, tradition, and modern comforts for a truly memorable stay in the Swiss Alps.
