Trump Slams DOJ Over Epstein Files, Calls for Focus on Election Fraud
Former President Donald Trump recently criticized the Department of Justice for its handling of the Epstein case, following the discovery of more than one million additional documents potentially connected to the investigation. The DOJ has been reviewing these materials for public release under a law signed by Trump last year, which mandates transparency in the investigation.
Trump took to Truth Social to express his frustration with the department’s focus on the Epstein files, questioning the need for what he described as a lengthy and resource-intensive review process. He believes that the agency’s attention on Epstein has diverted resources away from more urgent issues facing the country.
In his post on Truth Social, Trump called on the DOJ to prioritize other matters, such as election fraud. He accused the Democrats of being connected to Epstein and urged the department to release all names associated with the case to embarrass them before refocusing on the country’s needs.
Trump labeled the ongoing scrutiny of Epstein as politically motivated, likening it to a “Witch Hunt” and accusing his critics of using the issue to avoid discussing his administration’s accomplishments.
It is clear that Trump is eager for the DOJ to move on from the Epstein case and shift its focus to what he believes are more critical issues, such as election fraud. The former president’s comments highlight the ongoing controversy surrounding the Epstein investigation and the political tensions that continue to surround it.
