Gisborne/Tairāwhiti, Coromandel, and Hawke’s Bay are under a heavy rain warning, affecting attendees of the Rhythm and Vines festival. Auckland, Great Barrier Island, and Coromandel are under a strong wind watch, while the central North Island will be added to the watch at 10am. Severe gales warning has been issued for Manawatu, Horowhenua, and Kapiti coast from 4pm, with Tararua district and Wairarapa under a heavy rain watch from 6pm.
