8BitDo Releases New Ultimate Mobile Gaming Controller
8BitDo, known for its nostalgic gaming products, has expanded its range to include the new Ultimate Mobile Gaming Controller. This controller, designed for mobile gaming, follows the trend of splitting a standard Bluetooth controller and adding a sliding phone grip in the middle. However, there are some unique features that set it apart from similar products on the market.
The Ultimate Mobile Gaming Controller adopts the same layout and shape as 8BitDo’s previous console and PC controllers, which have received positive feedback from users. This design choice makes the controller larger and potentially more comfortable than traditional gripper controllers.

One standout feature of the Ultimate Mobile Gaming Controller is its use of Hall effect sensors for both the triggers and analog sticks. This technology ensures long-lasting durability and helps prevent stick drift, a common issue among gamers. Additionally, the metal rings around the sticks add an extra layer of durability.
8BitDo’s controller offers several enhancements compared to other budget-friendly options. Users can customize the button layout, including two additional rear buttons, using 8BitDo’s PC app. The sensitivity settings for the sticks and triggers can also be adjusted to suit individual preferences. The device-agnostic slider can accommodate larger phones, with the ability to hold devices up to 170mm wide/tall.

Priced at $50, the 8BitDo Ultimate Mobile Gaming Controller offers a compelling value proposition. This price point is lower than competitors such as the Razer Kishi V2, Backbone One, or SCUF Nomad, making it an attractive option for mobile gamers. The controller is currently available for pre-order and is set to ship on November 29th.
