WWE seems to have big plans in store for Dominik Mysterio, also known as “Dirty” Dom. The young star has been making waves in the company, garnering a significant fan following and receiving massive reactions from the audience.
Mysterio has been a standout performer for WWE this year, engaging in numerous high-profile matches. Currently holding both the Intercontinental title and the AAA Mega World Championship, he has proven his worth in the ring and captured the attention of fans on RAW.
According to WWE talk-show host Sam Roberts on a recent episode of Notsam Wrestling, there are talks of Mysterio transitioning into a babyface character in the upcoming year. Roberts boldly predicted that by 2027, “Dirty” Dom could potentially become the biggest star in the wrestling business.
“I think Dominik turns babyface in 2026. I think that the work is put in for Dominik to turn babyface in 2026. And then everything is in position for Dominik to be the guy in 2027. As crazy as it sounds, Dominik Mysterio has the ability to be a main event babyface. I think he can do it. I think he’s got that connection with the audience. I think that he gets better and better and better,” Roberts shared.
Roberts further emphasized that with a shift towards younger talent in the WWE roster, Mysterio could emerge as the leading figure representing the new generation of superstars.
“And I just think that he comes across, as nuts as it sounds, as a massive superstar. And I think that in a roster that is gonna get younger, Dominik Mysterio becomes the guy who represents what the WWE is now. He’s relevant to culture now,” Roberts stated.
However, amidst these promising prospects, Mysterio recently suffered an injury that has sidelined him from competition. The injury occurred during a tag team match at AAA’s Guerra de Titanes event in Guadalajara, Mexico, where Mysterio injured his shoulder while taking a DDT.
While the setback has temporarily put a halt to Mysterio’s in-ring action, reports suggest that the wrestler remains optimistic about his future upon his return. WWE is taking caution with Mysterio’s injury, prioritizing his well-being and ensuring a safe recovery process.
As fans eagerly await Mysterio’s comeback, the young star’s potential as a future main event player and the face of WWE continue to be a topic of discussion among wrestling enthusiasts. With his undeniable talent, charisma, and connection with the audience, Dominik Mysterio appears poised for a bright future in the world of professional wrestling.
