Subtle Launches New Wireless Earbuds for Clear Calls and Transcription

Voice AI startup Subtle has introduced a new pair of wireless earbuds designed to improve communication in noisy environments. These innovative earbuds are aimed at helping users sound clear during calls and providing accurate transcription for notes.

The company announced the launch of these earbuds just ahead of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. They are set to be released in the U.S. market in the coming months, priced at $199. Additionally, each pair of earbuds will come with a one-year subscription to the iOS and Mac app, allowing users to effortlessly take voice notes and interact with AI without the need for manual input.

One of the standout features of these earbuds is the integration of a chip that enables them to wake the iPhone even when it is locked. This functionality enhances the overall user experience and convenience.

Subtle is positioning itself as a competitor to popular AI-powered voice dictation apps like Wispr Flow, Willow, Monolouge, and Superwhisper. The company claims that their earbuds offer significantly fewer errors compared to other similar products on the market, boasting superior transcription accuracy.

In a demonstration witnessed by JS, the voice buds showcased their ability to capture audio effectively in noisy environments. They were also able to accurately transcribe a voice note when Subtle’s co-founder and CEO, Tyler Chen, spoke in a soft, whispering tone.

Chen emphasized the growing trend towards voice interfaces and the company’s focus on providing users with a seamless voice experience through their noise isolation technology. By combining functionality for dictation, AI chat, and voice notes in one package, Subtle aims to offer a comprehensive solution for users’ communication needs.
