The country music star, Jelly Roll, made a jaw-dropping appearance at the Los Angeles premiere of Sonic the Hedgehog 3. However, his journey to this moment was not without its struggles.
In a recent interview with People, Jelly Roll opened up about his battle with food addiction that had plagued him for years. “Nobody in my house ever had a healthy relationship with food, so that was the hard part,” he confessed. “Really fighting that demon at first and getting into that discipline and commitment.”
Despite the challenges, Jelly Roll found the strength to make a change. He described the process as an avalanche, once he started rolling that snowball of discipline and commitment, there was no turning back.
His determination to transform his life was evident during a guest appearance on his wife Bunnie Xo’s podcast, Dumb Blonde. He spoke openly about his struggles and set a goal to be featured on the cover of Men’s Health by March 2026.
“I wanna have one of the biggest transformations,” Jelly Roll declared. “I did this publicly for a reason. I wanna be honest about my struggles with it with people.”
He emphasized the importance of transparency in his journey, stating, “I wanted to lose it in front of everybody. I wanna bring people along with me.”
