Protests Erupt in Denver Following Deadly Shooting by ICE Agent

Amidst growing tension, hundreds of individuals gathered in downtown Denver on Friday night to voice their anger against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) following the fatal shooting of Renée Good by a federal agent in Minneapolis.

As the protesters began their march from the Capitol, Denver police warned residents to expect rolling road closures in the downtown area.

This demonstration is just one of many planned throughout the metro Denver area this weekend in response to the tragic incident involving Good, a former Colorado resident, who was shot and killed by an ICE agent while attempting to drive away from a group of immigration officers.

While federal officials claim that the shooting was an act of self-defense as Good allegedly tried to run over an ICE agent, local, state, and federal leaders have disputed these allegations after reviewing bystander videos of the incident.

Organizers have announced that additional protests are scheduled for both Saturday and Sunday.

This story is still developing, stay tuned for updates.
