Rachel Accurso, also known as Ms. Rachel, is set to host a new benefit exhibition in New York City featuring artworks by children from Gaza. The event, titled “Colors That Survived,” will showcase the talents of young Palestinian artists and raise funds to support them.

Accurso, a globally recognized early childhood education advocate and YouTube star with over a billion views on her educational videos, has been a vocal supporter of Palestinian children and has condemned the violence and oppression they face. In response to her advocacy, she has faced backlash and harassment from right-wing groups.

The exhibition will feature limited edition prints of artworks by children from Gaza, including pieces like “Begging for Food” by 16-year-old Yara and “House on His Back” by 12-year-old Ahmed. These poignant artworks provide a glimpse into the struggles and resilience of Palestinian children living in Gaza.

The one-day exhibition will take place on January 13 at Chelsea’s Caelum Gallery, with all proceeds from the sale of the prints going directly to the young artists. The artworks will also be available for purchase online through Artists Support until January 30.

This initiative follows Accurso’s previous advocacy efforts, including wearing a dress adorned with artworks by Palestinian children at a prestigious gala and participating in fundraisers to support children in Gaza. Despite facing criticism and bullying for her stance, Accurso remains dedicated to advocating for the rights and well-being of Palestinian youth.

Through her YouTube channel and social media platforms, Accurso has shared stories of children from Gaza, shedding light on the impact of conflict and violence on their lives. She has also collaborated with organizations and media outlets to amplify the voices of Palestinian children and raise awareness about their struggles.

Accurso’s exhibition is a collaboration with the creators of the film “The Voice of Hind Rajab,” which documents the tragic killing of six-year-old Hind Rajab by the Israeli military. The exhibition aims to showcase the resilience and creativity of Palestinian children in the face of adversity.

“I am forever changed by connecting with these incredible children from Gaza,” said Ms. Rachel. “They share their powerful art, stories, and hopes for the future with such courage in the face of unimaginable hardship.” By supporting this exhibition, individuals can contribute to the empowerment and well-being of Palestinian children and show solidarity with their struggle for justice and peace.
