Netflix has recently introduced a new feature called Netflix Moments, which allows users to capture and save scenes from their favorite movies and series on the mobile app. This feature is a game-changer for Netflix subscribers who have longed to share their favorite moments with friends and family.

In the past, Netflix restricted users from sharing scenes from their content, citing copyright protection as the reason. However, the streaming service has now taken a more flexible approach, recognizing the power of fan engagement in driving views and increasing excitement around their productions.

Marian Lee, Netflix’s chief marketing officer, expressed the company’s excitement about the new feature, stating that it celebrates the unforgettable moments that make Netflix shows so compelling. The goal is to evoke the same feeling of obsession and excitement that viewers experience when they first become engrossed in a great show on Netflix.

To use Netflix Moments, users simply need to tap on the screen while watching a movie or series to access the feature. A button labeled “Moments” will appear on the bottom bar, allowing users to save the scene they want to capture. These moments are then stored in the “My Netflix” tab, where users can revisit them on their phone and share them via social media, text message, or by copying the link.

When sharing a clip via social media, the scene will appear as a link that directs viewers to the marked scene on their own Netflix app. Additionally, the Moments feature acts as a bookmark, allowing users to resume playback from the captured scene when they revisit the content.

Netflix Moments is currently available on iOS, with an Android version set to launch in the coming weeks. As for PC users, the feature is not yet available, and it remains unclear if Netflix plans to extend it to other devices in the future.

Overall, Netflix Moments is a groundbreaking addition to the streaming service, allowing users to relive and share their favorite moments from Netflix productions with ease. It’s a testament to Netflix’s commitment to enhancing user experience and fostering a sense of community among its subscribers.
