David Beckham recently made some interesting comments about parenting, social media, and raising children in the public eye during an appearance on CNBC’s Squawk Box on January 20. His remarks have sparked discussions and raised eyebrows due to the timing of his statements.
“I have always spoken about social media and the power it holds, both for good and for bad,” Beckham stated. “Kids today have access to so much through social media, which can be dangerous. However, personally, I have found that it can also be used for positive reasons, especially when it comes to my kids.”
“I’ve utilized my platform and social media following to support organizations like UNICEF and raise awareness about issues affecting children around the world. I have also tried to educate my own children about using social media responsibly,” he added.
Beckham’s comments about allowing children to make mistakes were particularly poignant. “Children learn by making mistakes. It’s important to let them make those mistakes and learn from them,” he shared, hinting at his own family’s experiences.
