The latest Netflix project from Tyler Perry, “Beauty in Black,” has been making waves as the second-most-watched streaming original in the U.S. during the week of Oct. 25-31. According to Luminate’s weekly viewership rankings, the series accumulated an impressive 1.2 billion minutes watched in its first full week of availability, coming in just behind “The Lincoln Lawyer” Season 3, which held the top spot for the second consecutive week with 1.4 billion minutes watched.

A new entry on the list, “Territory,” also a Netflix title, debuted in third place with 890.1 million minutes watched in its first week. Following closely behind was Season 2 of “Tulsa King,” which received a boost in viewership with the release of its seventh episode, reaching 555.8 million minutes watched on Paramount+. The continued success of “Tulsa King” Season 2 has also led to increased interest in Season 1, which landed in the tenth spot with 264.9 million minutes watched during the same period.

“This Is the Zodiac” made its debut on the chart with 482.3 million minutes watched, securing sixth place. The remaining positions on the chart were filled by repeat titles that accumulated under 400 million minutes watched, including “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story,” “Nobody Wants This,” “Agatha All Along,” and “Tulsa King” Season 1.

Turning to the film chart, “Don’t Move” entered at the top spot with 792.3 million minutes watched in its first week on Netflix. “Woman of the Hour” slipped to second place with 434.1 million minutes watched, while “Canary Black” took third place with 291 million minutes watched on Amazon Prime Video.

No other titles on the chart managed to surpass 200 million minutes watched during the week of Oct. 25-31. The remaining positions were filled by “Family Pack,” “Infinite,” “Hocus Pocus 2,” “Martha,” “The Menendez Brothers,” “Do Patti,” and “Brothers.”

Overall, the rankings reflect the diverse range of content available on streaming platforms and the continued popularity of both original series and films. With viewership numbers continuing to grow, it’s clear that streaming services remain a key player in the entertainment industry.
