Savannah Guthrie Rushing Back to Work After Vocal Issue
Savannah Guthrie is feeling the pressure as she rushes back to work after dealing with a vocal issue. According to an insider, the host is in full panic mode as the ratings of the show increased while she was away.
The former attorney is pushing her doctors to get her back to work as soon as possible. In order to ensure that the audience doesn’t forget about her, she has insisted that the show tape a piece on her at home while she recovers.
To remind viewers that she is still around, Guthrie made a remote appearance from her home during the Today show’s Morning Boost segment on Tuesday, January 20. Despite being on vocal rest, she mentioned that she is allowed to talk for five to 10 minutes every hour as she debuted her new voice.
Weatherman Al Roker jokingly commented that Guthrie’s voice, post nodes removal from her vocal cords, “sounds the same.” However, her cohost, Melvin, reassured her by saying, “You sound markedly better!”
