Hilary Swank Blows Up at Mom Trying to Take Sneaky Selfie
A mother named Bofus recently had a surprising encounter with actress Hilary Swank, known for her role in Million Dollar Baby. Bofus, who was at Disneyland with her two sons, Mason and Jack, both suffering from Duchenne muscular dystrophy, approached Swank to try and take a sneaky selfie.
However, things took an unexpected turn when Swank thought Bofus was trying to take a picture of her without permission. Bofus quickly clarified that she was just trying to call her husband, not take a photo. Despite the misunderstanding, Swank reportedly stormed off in a bad mood.
Bofus, who is a fan of Swank’s work, was understanding of the situation. She explained that she was starting her son Mason’s Make-A-Wish trip, which Swank was unaware of. Mason, 7, had been granted a trip to Disneyland, with his 4-year-old brother Jack joining him.
Duchenne muscular dystrophy is a terminal disease that causes muscle weakness and a shortened life expectancy. The condition is incurable, and those affected typically have a life expectancy of 23 to 29 years.
Despite the awkward encounter, Bofus tried to see the humor in the situation, considering it one of her first encounters with a celebrity. She acknowledged that Swank was likely having a bad day and that the misunderstanding was just a small blip in an otherwise memorable trip for her sons.
