Samsung Galaxy S26 Qi2 Charger Leaks

The leak of a new accessory has all but confirmed a major upgrade for the Samsung Galaxy S26 series. German website WinFuture has revealed the existence of an accessory known as the Samsung Magnetic Wireless Powerbank EB-U2500. This is a 5000mAh power bank that supplies both 20W wired charging (via a bundled USB-C cable) and 15W wireless charging to compatible devices.

The crucial thing about that latter provision is that it’s Qi2. The device contains a magnetised attachment system that will align with and affix to any Qi2 compatible smartphone. Thanks to a fold-out arm, it can also be used as a stand for your phone.

It’ll cost around €60, which works out to around £50.

Why would Samsung be planning its own Qi2 accessory when none of its phones are Qi2-ready? One answer is that it plans to continue offering Qi2 case accessories that grant Qi2 stickiness, like it did with the Samsung Galaxy S25 range.

To our mind, though, it seems far more likely that the forthcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 range is going to follow the lead of the Google Pixel 10 and implement proper Qi2 compatibility.

Back in October we concluded something similar when it emerged that Samsung was offering a pair of Qi2 accessories – a Single Wireless Charger charging puck and a Car Wireless Charger – on its US website.

While it’s true that Samsung’s Qi2 case fudge could be continued with the Galaxy S26, we just can’t imagine Samsung investing all this money into Qi2 accessory development for such a half-baked implementation.

Stir in rumours from elsewhere that Samsung is indeed going the full-blown Qi2 route with this year’s flagship models, and we’re just about as convinced as it’s possible to be.

We’re expecting the Samsung Galaxy S26 range to launch a little later than last year’s model, with a potential announcement on 25 February.
