Taylor Swift has found herself in the middle of the legal drama surrounding the movie adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s It Ends With Us, all thanks to her friendship with Blake Lively. However, it seems that Justin Baldoni, who is at the center of the controversy, may not be calling Swift to the stand if the case goes to trial.

Sources connected to Baldoni’s legal team have stated that serving Swift with a summons would be “next to impossible.” The recently released text messages between Swift and Lively allegedly speak for themselves, so it is believed that they won’t need Swift as a witness in the case.

The legal battle between Lively and Baldoni, who co-starred in the movie adaptation of It Ends With Us, has been ongoing since Lively accused Baldoni of sexual harassment and orchestrating a smear campaign against her in December. Baldoni denied the allegations and filed a countersuit, which was dismissed in June. Lively’s lawsuit is scheduled to head to trial in May.

Documents unsealed recently revealed various depositions, emails, and text messages related to the case, including communication between Swift and Lively. In one text exchange, Swift allegedly called Baldoni a “bitch” and accused him of knowing that something was coming. The text was sent as Swift was on her way to meet with Lively and Baldoni to discuss the movie script.

The text messages also indicated that the legal battle had strained the relationship between Lively and Swift. Lively expressed concerns about their friendship and apologized for being preoccupied with her own issues. Swift, on her part, acknowledged the strain and expressed missing the normalcy of their friendship.

Despite the rift between them, Lively and Swift have tried to navigate the challenges brought on by the legal drama. Swift was subpoenaed about the case in May, but a representative for the singer clarified that she had no direct involvement in the movie’s production or decision-making processes.

As the legal battle continues, the friendship between Swift and Lively seems to have been tested. Whether Swift will be called to testify in the trial remains uncertain, but the drama surrounding It Ends With Us continues to unfold. Taylor Swift’s busy schedule did not allow her the luxury of reading Colleen Hoover’s novel “It Ends With Us” until weeks after its public release in 2023. The global superstar was in the midst of headlining the biggest tour in history during 2023 and 2024, traveling around the globe and captivating audiences with her electrifying performances.

Despite her hectic touring schedule, Taylor Swift eventually had the chance to delve into “It Ends With Us” and was deeply moved by the powerful story it told. The novel, written by Colleen Hoover, explores themes of love, resilience, and empowerment, resonating with readers around the world. Swift, known for her heartfelt songwriting and storytelling in her music, found a connection to the emotional depth and honesty portrayed in the book.

As Swift continued to wow audiences with her music and performances, she also found time to unwind and escape into the world of literature. “It Ends With Us” provided a welcome respite from the demands of her busy career, allowing her to immerse herself in a gripping narrative that left a lasting impact on her.

Whether through music or literature, Taylor Swift continues to inspire and captivate audiences worldwide with her talent and artistry.
