During a recent statement, former President Donald Trump raised eyebrows by once again hinting at the possibility of serving beyond January 2029, when his second term in office is expected to conclude.
Trump took to social media to exclaim, “RECORD NUMBERS ALL OVER THE PLACE! SHOULD I TRY FOR A FOURTH TERM?”
This isn’t the first time Trump has flirted with the idea of a third term, despite it being unconstitutional.
The meaning behind Trump’s mention of a “fourth” term remains unclear.
Some speculate that he may be alluding to his baseless claim of victory in the 2020 election, making this term his “third,” while others fear he may be considering a push for two more terms.
However, it’s important to note that the 22nd Amendment of the U.S. Constitution explicitly prohibits a president from serving more than two terms.
