There has been another serious incident involving an e-scooter in Christchurch.Â
Authorities responded to a collision between an e-scooter and a car on Pages Rd in Linwood around 1.10pm today.
The rider of the scooter sustained serious injuries and was taken to the hospital, as confirmed by the police.
The Serious Crash Unit has been informed about the incident.
Pages Rd is anticipated to be closed off between Nicholas Dr and Kearneys Rd while emergency services attend to the situation, according to the authorities.Â
Drivers are urged to find alternate routes and anticipate delays in the affected area.
Earlier in the week, a tragic incident occurred when an e-scooter rider was hit by a train in Addington.
Law enforcement responded to the scene on Lincoln Rd at 3.30am, where the rider unfortunately passed away.
