King Charles Extends Invitation to Harry and Meghan Markle for Balmoral Getaway
During their time as working royals, Prince Harry, 41, and Meghan Markle, 44, were invited by the queen to join the family for their annual summer retreat at Balmoral. However, the couple declined the invitation and never attended the gathering.
Balmoral is a cherished location for the royal family, where they engage in outdoor activities such as hiking, horseback riding, shooting parties, and family barbecues.
Prince Harry’s last visit to Balmoral was brief, as he arrived after the queen’s passing. His delay in arrival reportedly upset his brother and uncles, as Meghan objected to not being allowed to accompany him to Scotland. As a result, they missed the opportunity to bid their final farewells to the queen.
Despite past tensions, King Charles is eager to mend familial bonds by extending a heartfelt invitation to Harry and Meghan for the upcoming Balmoral getaway.
“He understands the importance of family time, especially given his ongoing health battle,” an insider revealed. “This gesture is driven by a desire for unity, rather than adhering to royal protocol.”
