Adele Shows Love to Meryl Streep at Las Vegas Show
Adele, the renowned singer, expressed her admiration for legendary actress Meryl Streep during her residency show in Las Vegas. The heartwarming moment took place on Friday, November 1, at Caesars Palace, where Adele spotted Streep in the audience. What made the encounter even more special was the fact that Adele was dressed as Streep’s character, Madeline Ashton, from the iconic movie “Death Becomes Her.”
In a video shared via X, Adele can be seen bowing down to the Oscar-winning actress before exclaiming, “What a f—ing honor, I love you!” The two embraced, with Streep blowing a kiss and applauding Adele before the singer continued her performance.
This wasn’t the first time a major celebrity graced Adele’s residency show. Celine Dion, another music icon, attended one of Adele’s performances on October 26, bringing the singer to tears. Dion shared a heartfelt moment with Adele, holding her face in her hands and planting a kiss on her hand. The emotional exchange left both the crowd and Adele visibly moved.
In a video shared via X, Adele reciprocated the love by acknowledging Dion’s presence, saying, “Give it up for Ms. Celine Dion!” as she returned to the stage. Dion later took to Instagram to praise Adele’s performance, expressing her gratitude for being welcomed back to the Colosseum for the show.
The Colosseum holds sentimental value for Dion, as it was where she had her own Las Vegas residency back in 2003. Adele, on the other hand, recently made headlines for sharing her recovery journey after battling an ear infection. During a concert on October 25, she opened up about the excruciating pain she endured, likening it to being worse than childbirth.
Adele revealed that she contracted a rare water bacteria while on tour in Munich, leading to the painful ear infection. Despite the challenges, she expressed relief that the pain had subsided, although she mentioned experiencing some hearing loss in her left ear.
The bond between Adele and her fellow celebrities like Meryl Streep and Celine Dion showcases the mutual respect and admiration that exists among artists across different genres. These heartfelt interactions serve as a reminder of the power of music and entertainment to unite people from all walks of life.
