In the Fulton River District of Chicago, a terrifying incident occurred overnight as drive-by gunmen opened fire, resulting in two individuals being injured. The chaos unfolded in the 400 block of North Milwaukee around 2 a.m.

A 17-year-old boy, who had just exited a music studio, was approached by four individuals, two of whom started shooting. He was struck in the leg during the attack. Additionally, an 18-year-old man sitting in a vehicle on the same block sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his left side while seated in the back seat. His condition was reported as critical by officials.

Surveillance footage from the police revealed a slightly different account of the events compared to the younger victim’s recollection. The video showed two gunmen firing from a gray Infiniti sedan as it traveled north on Milwaukee Avenue.

The Chicago Police Department has not disclosed any information regarding the possible motive behind the shooting or provided descriptions of the suspects involved in the incident.

This alarming incident underscores the ongoing challenges of gun violence in the city of Chicago, where innocent individuals can become victims of senseless acts of violence at any moment. The community remains on edge as law enforcement works to piece together the details of this brazen attack.

As the investigation continues, residents and authorities alike are reminded of the importance of coming together to address the root causes of gun violence and work towards creating a safer environment for all individuals in the city.
