AEW Champion MJF recently addressed the issue of inter-promotional tribalism in the world of wrestling. In a recent interview, the self-proclaimed generational talent highlighted that despite the intense rivalry between major wrestling companies like WWE and AEW, the stars themselves do not engage in bashing each other’s brands in real life.

Over the past six years, the competition between WWE and AEW has reached new heights, with both promotions acquiring and showcasing top talent. Wrestlers such as Swerve Strickland, Toni Storm, Mercedes Martinez, Jon Moxley, and others have found success in AEW, while stars like Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Jade Cargill, and others have continued to excel in WWE.

Despite the intense fan rivalry between the two promotions, MJF emphasized that there is no actual animosity between the wrestlers themselves. He cited examples of top names like Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Jon Moxley, and Adam Copeland, who have all transitioned between companies without harboring ill feelings towards their former employers.

MJF pointed out that while some wrestlers may have a strong loyalty to their current promotion, there is no bad blood among the talent from different locker rooms. He emphasized that professional wrestlers have different perspectives and approaches to the industry, but overall, there is a mutual respect and camaraderie among them.

In terms of his own career, MJF is currently facing challenges from top contenders like Hangman Page, Swerve Strickland, Kenny Omega, and Andrade El Idolo for his AEW World Championship. Recently, Brody King confronted MJF and demanded a title shot, leading to a scheduled World Championship Eliminator Match between the two on next week’s AEW Dynamite. The winner of this match will earn a shot at the title at Grand Slam Australia.

As the showdown with Brody King looms, fans are eager to see if MJF can maintain his championship reign against the formidable challenger. The wrestling world continues to evolve, with talent moving between promotions and showcasing their skills on different platforms. Despite the fan rivalry, it is clear that the wrestlers themselves maintain a professional and respectful attitude towards each other.

In conclusion, MJF’s insights shed light on the reality of the wrestling industry, where competition and camaraderie coexist among the talent. As the landscape of professional wrestling continues to evolve, it is evident that mutual respect and support prevail among the wrestlers, regardless of the promotion they represent.
